July Hitch Adventure

Hard at work. Taking a break is always allowed right?
Here I am doing some RAT work at a Gathering Center at work.
Good times. About 45 to 50 feet in the air.

This was from my last hitch in May and June. Still had some cold and wind. Never to cold to strike a pose.

The Gang. Matt, Derrick, and Mark

Always a good thing to see. No wind. A rare occasion.

Portage Glacier Adventure

Exploring out at Portage Glacier and Portage lake. This was an incredible experience. During the winter months the lake freezes over people can walk out to the glacier. I suggest having cross country skis, or snow shoes, but a good pair of boots would suffice. The view are amazing, and the overwhelming size of your surroundings speak much louder than words.

You can see when looking back to where you start the trek, how far out you travel and the size of the visitor center.

Dinner Time

Every once in a while, Who am I kidding, More than once in a while, My beautiful sister,Kariane, will cook dinner and I am invited. Last night was one of those times and it was amazing. Good food, good conversation, and a great setting. I thought so and I jumped all over the opportunity to photograph the experience.

I mean look at the view. Very nice to have a great dinner and look out to the inlet from your living room. Thank you SIS

Yellow Theme

All of these photos are from Barcelona, Spain which is one of my favorite places to visit. My cruise ship journeys would take me back to the same city every 2 weeks. This was one of my favorite spots. Full of life and tradition.

While looking at some of my other photos my sister, Kariane, thought it would be cool to have some color themes to my photos on display. So here is a group with a Yellow Theme.

Pisa, Italy Adventure

Working on the cruise ship after I completed college was such a huge adventure for me. I learned so much about photography, people, and traveling. Traveling all over the Mediterranean took me all over including Pisa, Italy. It is a smaller town, but has a huge piece of history stuck in the middle of its livelihood.

This is a great example of the scale of the buildings that are there. Everything is massive there.

As you approach the main square of Pisa, you encounter many street vendors selling all kinds of random trinkets. It seemed the most popular item for sale was sunglasses and purses. This was the case everywhere you went.

Alaska Wildlife Refuge Adventure

This is the first time I have ever been here. If you travel to the cook inlet area, you will drive right by it. It offers up an close and personal visiting experience with animals which inhabit our beautiful state. Ranging from moose, bear(grizzly, and black bear), musk ox, elk, deer, eagles, and owls. It is a great place to take the family or some friends. Its a nice drive along the arm of the bay, and goes Fairly quick.

Break Time Adventure

I catch my-self Looking around my surroundings trying to take photos of random items. Today is in our truck. This is a hole in the back of out truck on the ground used to run our cable through so we can have the door closed and we don't have to worry about it getting crimped when we shut the door. Kinda cool.

So all of the hard work we do, and rough conditions we push through, we all deserve a break from time to time. This is my crew I work with every time Im at work. Names are Derrick and Matt. They are really good guys who like to work hard. I think we are all fortunate to work
with one another.

February Hitch Adventure

Back to work I am in February. This month is supposed to be the coldest of the winter season. So far being 3 days into it, I can completely agree. Temps ranging in the high -30's to the low -50's ambient, plummeting to the -70's. It is slowly starting to warm up so we all have that to look forward to. My crew and I have been work on Drill Sight (DS) 3, and cruisin right along. Never a dull moment.

I have noticed how temperature affects the way we perceive light. Very impressing stuff.

Arctic Life Adventure

Moving to Alaska has been a great fit for me. The biggest reason for doing so was for my new job. I work for a an inspection company called Acuren. My job is on the North slope in Deadhorse, alaska or Prudhoe Bay. With that being said, here are some photos of my surroundings, duties, friends, and whatever else I can find.
